The domaine is run by Pascal and Evelyne Clairet, who have farmed vines in Arbois for generations. Under their stewardship, Domaine de la Touraize has become synonymous with traditional Jura winemaking, carried out with discipline, patience, and minimal intervention.

The Clairets are famously discreet, letting the wines speak for themselves rather than seeking attention or trends.

🍇 Vineyards & Terroir

Domaine de la Touraize farms around 9 hectares of vineyards spread across some of Arbois’s most respected sites, including steep slopes with limestone and marl soils. Many vines are old plantings, contributing to low yields and concentrated fruit.

The estate grows all of the classic Jura grape varieties:

• Poulsard

• Trousseau

• Pinot Noir

• Chardonnay

• Savagnin

Each parcel is harvested and vinified separately to preserve its individual character.

🍷 Winemaking Philosophy
