Marine Bonnet
& Pierre Cotton
From motorcycle grease to grape juice. Pierre spent his early 20s as a mechanic before discovering wine, while Marine brought scientific precision as an agronomist. Together since 2020, they've turned 16 hectares of family land into a biodiversity haven with 500 newly planted trees.
The Cotton family has been farming this land since 1856, working as sharecroppers and then leaseholders before Pierre's parents finally bought the domaine. Pierre reclaimed his first hectare in 2014, producing "100% Cotton" as his debut cuvée. Marine officially joined in 2020, bringing her agronomy expertise and a mission to regenerate the land through massive reforestation.
Pierre Cotton
Started as a motorcycle mechanic, realized he preferred outdoors to grease. Studied winemaking in the Loire, returned to Odenas in 2014 to reclaim family land. Practices semi-carbonic maceration in century-old beer foudres.
Marine Bonnet
Joined in 2020 with specialized viticulture background. The driving force behind planting 500 trees across Brouilly parcels for biodiversity, cooling shade, and water retention. Brings scientific rigor to the vineyards.
The Terroir Palette
Five distinct soil types across 16 hectares in Odenas. From blue volcanic diorite to pink granite, yellow limestone to pure sand—each vinified separately to speak its own language.
The famous blue diorite of Côte de Brouilly—an ancient volcanic rock millions of years old—gives wines their unique structure. The "corne verte" (green horn) mix exists nowhere else in Beaujolais.
"Working organically is a moral choice. If we rely on the vine to make our living, how can we justify taking life away from it?"— Pierre Cotton
The Wines
Semi-carbonic maceration in concrete tanks, then aged 8-9 months underground in century-old foudres originally built for beer in the 18th century. Zero sulfur, or max 10mg/L if the vintage demands it.
100% Cotton
The original cuvée from Pierre's first reclaimed hectare of Côte de Brouilly. Blue diorite soils give structured, powerful Gamay that retains easy-drinking charm. The wine that started it all.

Brouilly Les Mines
From family holdings just outside Odenas at lower elevation. Pink granite soils produce lighter, fresher expressions than the Côte. A beacon of terroir showing the commune's gentler side.

Côte de Brouilly Les Grillés
From the unique "corne verte" parcel where Côte de Brouilly meets Brouilly. Pink, yellow, and red granite layers coexist—found nowhere else in Beaujolais. The grids of rock create singular complexity.

Fleurie Poncié
From a beautiful old south-facing Gamay vineyard toward the village of Fleurie. Vinified identically to highlight terroir differences. Delicate, floral, with strawberry and subtle smoke.

Le Pré
From sandy soils in the generic Beaujolais appellation—rare in the region. Pierre created this single-vineyard cuvée to explore sand's unique impact on Gamay. Light, bright, experimental.

Piscine Olympique
Declassified Gamay that doesn't meet cru standards, plus free-run juice from carbonic maceration. The gluggable pool wine—serious farming, unserious drinking.
