Michelin Guide · Great Britain & Ireland · October 2026
Eighteen addresses newly welcomed into the MICHELIN Guide this month — from a fire-driven chef's counter in Fulham to a glasshouse in a Sussex botanical garden, a reborn Marylebone classic and one very Cumbrian pub. Menus, wine lists and booking links inside.
The MICHELIN Guide's October update is a snapshot of where British dining is right now: chef-led counters with ten seats and ten courses; fire cooking from Soho to Mayfair; Milanese trattorie colonising Wilton Way; and country-house tables in Kent, Wiltshire, Sussex and the Scottish Lowlands.
For wine drinkers, this month's class is quietly thrilling — low-intervention lists in Bethnal Green, forty wines by the glass in Soho, Sussex sparkling in Hackney and grappa flights in London Fields. Below, every new entry with its website, menu, wine list and contact details where available.
01 London
Eleven new entries — from Mayfair to Peckham
Marylebone · French
A Marylebone institution reborn: classic French fine dining under chef Pierre Minotti, where Escoffier's principles meet British seasons, now with a terrace and épicerie. Lunch and dinner Tuesday to Saturday; closed Sunday and Monday.
Classic French-led cellar, in keeping with the house's long fine-dining tradition — see the site for the current carte and group dining offers.
Soho · Contemporary · £££
Super 8's (Kiln, Smoking Goat, Brat, Mountain) boldest opening yet. Executive chef Meedu Saad reads North African cuisines — Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco — through French and Thai grammar. The dry-aged duck, glossed tableside with fig jus, is already the dish of the season.
Around 40 wines by the glass, French-focused and carefully sectioned to span trailblazers and traditionalists; small cocktail list. Published on the website under "Wine List".
Mayfair · Fire Cooking
Named for the Latin word for "fire", this plush Mayfair spot is all about cooking over flames — theatrical, precise and very much of the moment.
Olympia, West London · Modern British · All-day
An all-day sanctuary in the Grade II*-listed Pillar Hall at Olympia, led by executive chef Samantha Williams and pastry chef Lorena Tommasi. Modern British cooking with global influences, afternoon tea, Sunday roasts and live jazz on weekends.
A thoughtful selection of English wines anchors the list, alongside theatrical cocktails at the central bar.
Peckham · Wine bar–meets–bistro
The cosy, contemporary-European bistro near Peckham Rye station that helped define south-east London's wine-bar wave — ingredient-led plates in an informal room.
A pioneering low-intervention-leaning bistro cellar, built for drinking well rather than loudly.
London Fields · Milanese
An edible love letter to Milan from Ed Templeton (Carousel), chef Naz Hassan (BiBi, Clipstone) and Theo James — named for singer Ornella Vanoni. Butter-rich Northern Italian cooking: tajarin in onion broth, veal Milanese hanging off the plate, chicken Milanese with custard-yellow mayo.
Succinct and focused on small-scale Italian producers spanning the whole peninsula — plus 10 grappas and an abundant amaro collection. Sbagliato, Negroni and a Fig Leaf Martini at the bar.
Fulham · Chef's Counter · Tasting Menu
A dark, minimal room where the cooking is the show: ten seats, ten courses, one menu. Chef Lorenzo Salami's seasonal tasting runs £149 per person. Book well ahead — there are only ten chairs in the house.
Wandsworth Common · Italian
Adam Byatt's (Trinity, Clapham) ingredient-led Italian: crimson tuna crudo, on-the-bone turbot with lemon and capers, "post-service pasta" of spaghetti with anchovy and chilli, and puddings from the marble trolley. Named after Byatt's daughter Rosie.
Shoreditch / Old Street · British Bistro · Fire
The team behind Michelin-starred St Barts — Johnnie Crowe, Brendan Appleby and Kirsty Easterbrook — trade fine dining for a candlelit nose-to-tail bistro. Everything worth ordering touches open flame: fire bread with wild garlic, smoky sirloin joints, black koji custard tart.
London Fields · British Bistro
Sally Abé's first solo restaurant: a high-end British bistro reviving lockets savoury, Dorset crab royale, haunch of deer and the Victorian "penny lick" (£1 a scoop, proceeds to Hackney Food Bank). Small room — book ahead; largest table is six.
Overseen by business partner Abe Drewry — champagne, rich oaky chardonnays and bright Bordeaux reds, with English options including Sussex sparkling.
Columbia Road · Italian Trattoria
Dara Klein (Brawn, Trullo, Sager + Wilde) channels her Pugliese-Emilian heritage in a 175-year-old former pub: ricotta di Romagna with Calabrian chilli oil and Sardinian honey, 24-hour ragù trie, walk-in seats at the 15-cover bar.
Low-intervention wines with rare cellar picks, plus two house wines (Italian white and red) on tap; classic Italian aperitivo cocktails and a no-groni.
02 South East
Kent & Sussex — castles, gardens and a High Street hideaway
Hever Castle, Kent · Contemporary Fine Dining
Michelin-starred chef George Blogg's garden-led restaurant in the heart of the Hever Castle Estate — Anne Boleyn's childhood home — named for the River Eden that runs through it. A carte-blanche seasonal tasting menu in an intimate room. Dinner service Tuesday to Friday, 18:00.
Borde Hill, Haywards Heath · Garden-led
A glasshouse restaurant inside Borde Hill's famous botanical gardens, named after a rare magnolia on the estate. Seasonal cooking that celebrates the garden's diversity — open Wednesday to Sunday.
Lindfield, West Sussex · Modern British · Rooms
Relaxed fine dining on Lindfield's bustling High Street from chef Ian Brunsdon and his wife Ellen, with rooms upstairs. Seasonal classics and contemporary dishes, counter seats at the pass, and a two-course lunch set at £30. Thursday to Sunday.
Farnham, Surrey · Gastropub
An independently owned gastropub led by executive chef Adam Fisher, focused on hyper-seasonal British cooking in one of Surrey's most food-loving market towns.
03 South West
Wiltshire
Teffont Evias, Wiltshire · Country House
A beautiful stone manor house in the Nadder valley, opened by the Beckford Group on 15 June 2026. The orangery restaurant serves breakfast (8–10am), lunch (12–3pm) and dinner (6–9pm), alongside a wellness cabin with sauna.
04 Scotland
Stirlingshire
Cromlix, Kinbuck · Scottish
Bathed in natural light at Andy Murray's country-house hotel near Dunblane — the finest Scottish ingredients, simply and generously prepared. An AA Rosette-holder now in the Guide.
05 North West
Cumbria
Duke of Cumberland's Head
Clifton, Cumbria · Pub
A new entry from the Cumbrian village of Clifton. Details to be confirmed — check the MICHELIN Guide listing below for the inspector's notes and contact information.
