Domaine De La Baladeuse
The very talented Fanny Dahar
Studying biodynamic agriculture in Lyon and Peru is where fanny decided that to farm and grow grapes biodynamically was the path forward.
The subsequent two years proved to be a whirlwind of intense experiences, as she participated in two harvests annually - one in each hemisphere. Her adventures took her to various regions, including Chile, Ardèche, New Zealand, and finally, Provence, where she decided to settle down in 2015 and became associated with the Sulauze estate. Not one to stop exploring, Fanny continued her experiments in Alsace and Burgundy in 2017-2018, honing her skills and knowledge. Eventually, with the arrival of the 2019 vintage, she took a leap of faith and decided to venture out on her own, establishing her domaine - "Domaine De La Baladeuse." Since then, she has been dedicated to creating exceptional biodynamic wines, truly embracing her passion for sustainable and holistic winemaking practices.

We Tasted the Bouchat..
Chardonnay from a forty year old vineyard in Montbellet. The soil here is heavier than in his other parcels, with a little more clay and sand, producing a rounder, fuller expression of the grape. The fruit was given a direct press and the wine rested on its lees for eighteen months in barrel before finishing the fermentation in bottle.
Les Frères Chardigny
A family Affair , a lovely family from
The estate covers an area of 20 hectares, spreading across various clay-limestone hillsides.
In 2015, Pierre-Maxime, took over the estate. Shortly after, Victor, holding an oenologist diploma, joined him. They are supported by their brother Jean-Baptiste, who also works in viticulture, and their father, who pursued a career in wine bottling on the property.
All their vineyards are cultivated following the principles of organic agriculture. As such, the Chardigny estate thrives on a commitment to quality and authenticity, offering wines imbued with the unique terroir that surrounds them.".
The estate has 8 hectares of Saint-Véran, 6 hectares of Saint-Amour, 3 hectares of Beaujolais-Villages, and 3 hectares of Bourgogne. All vineyards are cultivated organically, without synthetic pesticides or herbicides, ensuring high-quality grapes for unique wines.
Hit of the day
Absolutely stunner of a wine ..best wine i’ve tasted this year.
The chardonnay grapes of this cuvee comes from the beautiful plot of les perriéres .this is the last year of operation of Guy Blanchard , taken over by Jerome Guichard in 2012.
The grapes were harvested very late in September 2011 , slow and long fermentation in barrels over several years 7 .
bottled in july 2019 ..still a couple of years to go in the bottle .. Pur Jus.
The lovely dinner in the evening
