Soundtracking the evening will be Mr Bongo, the Brighton-based independent record label, shop, film imprint, and publisher that’s been unearthing global grooves since 1989. Originally opening in London’s Berwick Street, the label quickly became known for championing independent hip-hop and rare Latin sounds before relocating to Brighton in 1999. Today, they continue to curates essentials from Brazilian, African, reggae, jazz, soul, and Latin music—not to mention a rich world-cinema catalog—bringing their signature eclectic flair straight to The Corner
