Cantina Postale
Cantina 12064 is named after the postal code of Cortemilia, the heart of Alta Langa. Founded in 2019 by Dominik Weigand and Martina, this young project bridges German precision with Piedmontese soul. Working with the Serafina team at the Bocciarda vineyards in Roddino, they cultivate organic-certified, regenerative vineyards in woods and meadows—producing wines that express the intersection of tradition and youthful innovation.
The Munich — Diano d'Alba — La Morra connection
Not even twenty years old, Dominik came to Piedmont for the first time and fell in love with the Langhe. He decided to resume his studies and moved to Vienna to study viticulture and oenology. After finishing university, he gained experience in both hemispheres before returning to the Langhe in 2016.
In 2019 he meets Martina, an indigenous agronomist with a passion for viticulture, returning after several years of professional experience in France.
— The meeting that founded the winery
German-born, Vienna-trained viticulturist and oenologist. After working harvests across both hemispheres, he returned to Piedmont in 2016 to vinify his first wine—Casterina, a 100% Nebbiolo blend of two Barolo terroirs, produced with soft minimum-tillage techniques.
Indigenous Piedmontese agronomist with years of professional experience in France. She shares Dominik's vision of organic and regenerative viticulture, bringing local knowledge and agricultural expertise to their collaborative project.

— On their collaborative approach
Casterina & the Bocciarda wines
Cantina 12064 specializes in organic, natural wines from native and select international grape varieties. Their approach emphasizes soft minimum-tillage winemaking techniques, low-temperature fermentation in steel, and expressive, terroir-driven profiles that reflect the unique setting of the Bocciarda vineyard.
Hand-harvested from organic certified vineyards. Fermentation at controlled low temperatures in stainless steel to preserve aromatic freshness. Soft minimum-tillage winemaking techniques throughout. No filtration, minimal sulfur approach, vegan-friendly production. The wines express the calcareous soils of Alta Langa and the unique microclimate of the Bocciarda vineyard surrounded by woods.
DoWhatYouLove — The Serafina project
Cantina 12064 operates in collaboration with Serafina—a project encompassing housing, wines, and the "DoWhatYouLove" philosophy. The Bocciarda vineyard represents their shared vision of regenerative agriculture in harmony with nature, surrounded by woods and meadows rather than monoculture.
Situated in Roddino, the vineyard is uniquely positioned in the middle of woods and meadows—creating a biodiverse ecosystem that supports regenerative viticulture. The calcareous soils and forest influence give the wines their distinctive mineral character.
Mikaela Rotari is the heart of the Azienda Agricola, taking care of everything that grows on the hills surrounding the Bocciarda—from vineyards to olive trees. This collaborative approach extends beyond wine to encompass a holistic agricultural philosophy.
