Alessandro Viola is a distinguished winemaker from Alcamo, a charming town located in northwestern Sicily. This area benefits from a Mediterranean climate and varied soils composed of limestone and sand, with the cool, humid sea breezes from the nearby Gulf of Castellammare adding to its unique microclimate.

The second vineyard is located in Pietra Rinosa, closer to Alcamo, at about 200 meters above sea level. Here, the soils are primarily clay, and the area enjoys a more oceanic climate, which further contributes to the distinct characteristics of the wines produced. Viola cultivates a range of indigenous Sicilian grape varieties, including Grillo, Catarratto, Nero d’Avola, Syrah, and Nerello Mascalese, all of which thrive in these diverse growing conditions.
