World’s 50 Best Vineyards
Not sure what the criteria are, but the World’s 50 Best is launching its own Top 50 Vineyards list this year. The event will take place in November and will be hosted at a vineyard in Margaret River — nice. A country in which I had the pleasure of working in for 4 years , a great country as everyone agrees , we need to see more natural wine from these guys.
They might be about to do for vineyards what they successfully did for the restaurant scene: move it on from the legacy of a French car company, modernise it, and give the old guard a well-deserved kick in the arse.
Perth Hills
With the world’s top restaurants now featuring a huge number of natural wines — all of them have some, and some are exclusively natural — the Copenhagen crowd, the Japanese, and the US have massive amounts of natural wines on their lists.
