Domaine Ruhlmann Dirringer
Dambach la Ville - Alsace
Dambach-la-Ville, situated on the eastern slopes of the Vosges in northeastern France, stands as an ancient fortified village. Located to the north of Colmar, its historical roots trace back to Gallo-Roman times, and since the Middle Ages, it has played a significant role in the wine trade. Today, it continues to be a favored destination on the modern 'Route des vins d'Alsace' (Alsace Wine Route).
Following the completion of a BTS (Higher Technician's Certificate) and a period at the Swiss School of Oenology, he joined the family estate, Domaine Ruhlmann Dirringer, nestled in Dambach-la-Ville, near Colmar, along the renowned Alsatian wine route.
Throughout his studies, he underwent an internship with Marie-Thérèse Chappaz, where he imbibed the essential principles of biodynamic cultivation. A transformative experience occurred after tasting the wines of the esteemed Monsieur Ganevat, ultimately persuading him to infuse new vitality into the family vineyard.
His journey began by converting the entire vineyard to organic farming, gradually rejuvenating the soil and embracing natural winemaking practices.
