Kenta Suzuki – Domaine Yui (Nagano Prefecture)

Kenta Suzuki, founder of Domaine Yui, is part of Nagano’s younger generation of winemakers pushing Japan’s natural wine movement forward. After training in France and working at several Japanese wineries, he returned to establish his own project focused on biodiversity and minimalism.
His vineyards are cultivated organically, interplanted with flowers and herbs to encourage soil life. Fermentations are spontaneous, and aging takes place in old barrels or amphora to maintain freshness and precision.
Suzuki’s wines are defined by clarity and quiet power—bright fruit balanced by mineral tension. Domaine Yui captures the restrained beauty of Nagano’s alpine terroir and the evolving sophistication of Japanese natural wine.
