Marcel Lapierre - Ville Morgan

Marcel Lapierre, who assumed control of the seven-hectare farm, adopted a groundbreaking approach in 1981. Influenced by Jules Chauvet, a renowned researcher, Lapierre embraced SO2 and yeast-free winemaking and organic vine cultivation—eschewing chemical fertilizers and weedkillers. Despite Marcel's passing, the estate continues to embody his vision, shaping a unique concept of wine grounded in a fresh perspective on soil and plant microbiology.

In 1909, Michel Lapierre moved to Villié-Morgon, Beaujolais, working as a cellar master at Domaine Les Chênes. His son, Camille, born in 1911, became a vineyard worker at 14. After his father's death in 1930, Camille took over vineyard and winery duties. In 1941, he married Lucienne Mathieu and aimed to pioneer direct barrel sales to bistros in Lyon and Mâcon, a forward-thinking idea for that era
