FYSIKA FYSIKA 2024

We passionately love the Greek vineyard and the people who work in any way to promote it.

FYSIKA highlights Greek wines that come from small wineries and producers who use good practices toward the land, the environment, and people. But above all, it aims to showcase truly good wine."

We love low-intervention wines that come from organic or biodynamic vineyards because they connect modern winemaking with harmony with nature.

The term "natural wines" aims to describe a whole range of ideas and practices, from empathy and responsibility to honesty, respect, and taking action in cultivation and winemaking.

Natural wines are cultivated in a clean environment, without additives, synthetic fertilizers, and pesticides, allowing plants and the land to thrive.

Their winemaking process involves minimal or no sulfites, without fining agents and commercial yeasts.

Kalogris Organic Winery Kapsia, Mantineia

In 1980, grandfather Evangelos Kalogris gifted his ancestral home to his grandson, Evangelos Kalogris, encouraging him to welcome guests in the future. This marked the beginning of the younger Evangelos' long journey, who, after completing his studies, restored the 1870s building and transformed it into an organic winery, welcoming visitors and friends. He realized that the spiritual and philosophical paths he followed could only be expressed through respect for the land he cultivated and his love for wine, because wine is a spiritual creation. From 1980 until today, the family members have been cultivating their vineyards using only certified organic methods. Their philosophy is based on protecting and caring for nature, as well as preserving biodiversity. All winemaking is natural, without additives.
