A Family United by Wine

The Chardigny estate is a true family affair, with each member playing a vital role in its success. In 2015, Pierre-Maxime took over the reins of the estate, bringing fresh energy and vision to the vineyard. Shortly after, his brother Victor, a trained oenologist, joined him, bringing his expertise in winemaking to ensure the highest quality in every bottle. Their brother Jean-Baptiste, who also works in viticulture, contributes his knowledge and passion for the vines, while their father, who spent his career in wine bottling on the property, provides invaluable wisdom and support. Together, the Chardigny family embodies a shared commitment to preserving their heritage while innovating for the future.

Organic Farming: A Commitment to Authenticity

At Le Vignoble Chardigny, the vineyards are cultivated following the principles of organic agriculture. This means no synthetic pesticides or herbicides are used, ensuring that the grapes are grown in harmony with nature. The family’s dedication to organic farming reflects their respect for the land and their desire to produce wines that are not only high in quality but also authentic expressions of their terroir. The estate’s 20 hectares are divided into several appellations:

  • 8 hectares of Saint-Véran: Known for its elegant and mineral-driven Chardonnay wines.

  • 6 hectares of Saint-Amour: Producing delicate and aromatic red wines from the Gamay grape.

  • 3 hectares of Beaujolais-Villages: Crafting vibrant and fruity Gamay wines.

  • 3 hectares of Bourgogne: Offering classic Burgundian wines that showcase the region’s signature style.

Each vineyard is carefully tended to, ensuring that the grapes reach their full potential and reflect the unique characteristics of the soil and climate.
