Bulles de Comptoir #11 – Terrine et Jardin

Producer: Charles Dufour

Blend: 60 % Pinot Noir, 30 % Chardonnay, 10 % Pinot Blanc
Base Vintage / Reserve: 80 % from 2020 + 20 % from perpetual reserve (2010–2019)
Style: Extra‑Brut NV Grower Champagne
ABV: ~12%
Dosage: < 2–3 g/L
Vinification:

  • Certified organic / biodynamic

  • Native‑yeast fermentation (3/4 in old barrels, 1/4 in steel)

  • Malolactic fermentation carried out

  • Aged ~15 months on lees post‑tirage

  • No added sulphites; bottled NV with low dosage

🥂 Tasting Notes

A refined and aromatic Champagne with fresh orchard fruit—red currant, raspberry, yellow apple—wrapped in delicate zing and chalky minerality. Subtle oxidative notes, toast, white flower, and saline length tell of barrel aging and mineral Côte‑des‑Bar soils. Vibrantly pure, with a long, nuanced finish

🌿 Food Pairings

Versatile at the table—perfect with charcuterie, vegetable terrines, smoked fish, oysters, crostini, or light poultry. Brilliant as an aperitif.

🌟 Why We Love It

Charles Dufour is a breakthrough among natural‑wine Champagne producers. Bulles de Comptoir is his annual NV cuvée—fresh, terroir-driven, and joyful. It blends youthful vitality from 2020 with depth from a decade-long reserve. "Terrine et Jardin" honors a long-serving team member, bringing soul and personality into every bottle
