Description

Lanterne Rouge by Clos Fantine is a juicy, soulful red from the schist soils of Faugères, in southern France. A blend of old-vine Mediterranean varieties, this natural wine bursts with wild berries, plum, and a touch of herbal garrigue, carried by supple tannins and a mouthwatering finish.

Zero sulfur, zero fuss—just pure, living wine made by the Andrieu family, pioneers of no-additive winemaking in Languedoc. Lanterne Rouge is named after the last rider in the Tour de France: a tribute to the underdog, the patient, the poetic. Perfect for the table, the terrace, or a night with friends.

Biodynamic estate run by siblings Carole, Olivier in Faugeres ,

Clos fantine was conceived by there father who wholly applied biodynamic methods ,no vinification additives, No sulfates are used in production or bottling.

No fertillîzer has been used for around 50 years, Vines therefore have acquired the term governments l love to hate ‘Natural Immunity`, making them largly resitastant to sickness and disease.

No plowing is used on the estate instead leaving the ground natural allowing for the natural ecosystem to thrive, using only sheep to keep the grasses and weeds in check.
