  • Riesling: Delivering a bright, zesty freshness.

Crafted by Jas Swan of Katla Wines, Sigyn 2022 is a natural négoce red wine with a bold and innovative character. This unique blend features:

  • 75% Regent: Deeply colored and full-bodied, contributing ripe fruit and structure.

  • 25% Riesling: Adding brightness and a delicate aromatic lift to balance the blend.

Tasting Profile:
This dark red wine is enriched with 3g of residual sugar (RS), lending a subtle touch of sweetness to the finish. Expect a harmonious interplay of red fruit intensity with a hint of Riesling’s zesty elegance.

  • 80% Weissburgunder (Niklas Rückrich, Eckelsheim, Rheinhessen)

  • 20% Müller Thurgau (from our Mosel vineyard)

Winemaking:

  • Weissburgunder: 3 days of semi-carbonic maceration.

  • Müller Thurgau: 7 days of semi-carbonic maceration.

Terroir:

  • Weissburgunder: Grown on clay and porphyr soils in Rheinhessen.

  • Müller Thurgau: Cultivated on slate-rich soils in the Mosel.

Certification:
All grapes are either fully organically certified or in active conversion to organic certification.

This 100% Pinot Noir comes from a 20-year-old plot nestled on the Ban d'Ammerschwihr in Alsace. The vines thrive on sandy-stony soils, formed by the decomposition of granite, lending the wine its unique character.

A remarkable Gewürztraminer from a half hectare parcel of forty year

old vines planted over sandy, alluvial soils in Ammerschwihr. The fruit

was fermented as whole bunches for a fortnight before being pressed off

to vats for a short élevage. A gorgeous shade of sunset in the glass, this

draws you in with heady scents of rose and bergamot. The fruit and

flowers are framed by tea-like tannins and a pleasant bitterness that

lends refreshment and intrigue.

The adventure in Valais began at the end of 2021, expanding to 1 hectare in 2022, 1.7 hectares in 2023, and 1.5 hectares in 2024. What will 2025 bring? The vineyards are located in and around Ayent, situated between 600 and 850 meters above sea level.

The soil composition is diverse, including schists, limestone, loess, quartz, clays, and more. The terraced nature of the vineyard makes mechanization impossible. Grass is managed with a backpack brush cutter, and organic treatments (less than 1kg copper per hectare) are applied using a backpack atomizer. The harvest is carried out manually, with grapes being transported on the shoulder.
